Summer is on and I really can feel it especially when I am outside the workplace or house. Sweating and being oily is one of the challenges of this season in maintaining a fresh look, but it is still achievable with a little bit of help of a good pressed powder, staying oil-free face is possible.

I tried to purchase Clean and Clear Oil Control Face Powder in Mercury Drug for worth Php 177 a few months ago and I can say that it lived up to its promise maintaining a fresh look. The quality of its powder is fine in texture and does not look too white for my complexion so when I need to put a little more, then it will not be a ghostly-white. I also notice that it contains cornstarch so this one is really good for absorbing oil. It does not look cakey for my skin even if I use a makeup base before it and usually does not need a touch up except only in the nose area where I commonly get oily skin.

Is it good when I use it alone (I mean, powder alone without makeup base)? I can say that if you have a dry skin, it is better if you use it with moisturizer because it may tend to mattify the skin further; If you have oily skin, it will work great for you.

Does it cause breakout? Not so sure about it because on my preference, I do not put too much powder on my face since I believe that most powders can cause me to breakout so I just use it when needed and so far, my skin maintained its appearance without new breakouts while using it.

Coverage? Well, it has a light to medium coverage and it may not cover at all depending on the amount you put. I cannot recommend this if you want a full coverage face powder.
Overall, I like its quality and very affordable. One pact is good for more than 6 months, kaya sulit talaga. Surely, I will buy another one after this.
