Sorry it took me couple of months before I finally have this review. I was quite busy with a lot of things so I did not have enough time to write a review but I can proudly tell that I was able to test these items really long enough and these are my observations and findings…tataaaa!!
For Maybelline Colorshow Creamy Matte, the shade that I have is M102- pop of pink. I love the texture of this lippie as it is very easy and smooth to glide, as the powder and wax contents are well blended making it feel so light even if you apply some more. It is not sticky nor cakey so you don’t need to put lipbalm prior to application. It doesn’t feel oily too so sometimes, I use it as blush on. I really love the shade as it looks so youthful and sweet; it reminds me of Sophie Paris Summer Pink shade but this one has more natural touch while the Sophie Paris Summer Pink is brighter. It compliments my skin tone and almost every kind of attire that I wear. I use my little pinky to spread the lipstick whenever I apply it and it is helpful to prevent the cracking and clumping appearance of the lips. For the longevity, it depends. It can stay for 2-4 hours if you haven’t eaten or drunk yet after application. It also transfers to the cup when I take beverage so you might as well blot some powder to make it longlasting. It has a berry scent that I enjoy whenever I use it.The packaging is simple and its very handy– with black plastick case, pink rim in the middle and silver tube.
For L’oreal Colour Riche, I have the shade of 839- Cinnamon Toast. This is my very first product from L’oreal and I truly love the quality and its elegance. I got this on sale, I was supposed to buy different shade but I wanted to try a brown lipstick since I already have the pink, peach and red. Among the browns and nudes, this is the most suitable for my complexion– it is not too dark nor pale as it still has the touch of red to orange. It is also moist, but not too oily that it bleeds and spreads messily, but rather has rich pigments that make vibrant appearance even if you just dab it on. It can look natural or strong depending on how you apply it: For natural shade, just apply on the upper part of the lip and dab it gently to allow transfer on the lower lip. For stronger shade, glide it on the lips twice and it will surely give you a classy brown and this one is perfect if you want a vintage look (just like me)!!! Is it long lasting? yes. it even leaves pigments on my lips even after eating and that is kind of amazing for a moist lipstick. Usually moist lipsticks don’t stay that long after eating or sometimes even just drinking, but this is not as longlasting as the real matte lippies. Its packaging is elegant looking in gold case, yet very handy as well. The scent somewhat resembles a raisin and wine… I don’t know but this is what I can smell and it is so loovely!!! For me, it is the best brown lippie that I have tried in the lipstick counters…
All in all, I am very much satisfied with these products and I recommend it for you if you still haven’t decided which one is good for your complexion. They perfectly match any attire and season with best quality in an affordable price.
